Founded in 1932 by Walter Beech in Wichita, Kansas, the company initially produced the Beechcraft Model 17 Staggerwing, a classic aircraft that played a significant role in World War II. Over the years, Beechcraft has produced various notable aircraft, including the Bonanza, King Air, and Baron, and has been part of several companies, including Raytheon and Hawker Beechcraft. Today, Textron Aviation continues to produce Beechcraft aircraft, including the King Air and Bonanza lines.
