includes page views, click events on instrumented elements
(autocapture), and session replays recorded for consented visits. Session replays mask all text content on the
page; we see interaction patterns, scroll depth, and time on
page, not the page contents you read or anything you type.
Mixpanel data is processed on EU infrastructure

api-eu.mixpanel.com); Google Analytics data is processed on Google's infrastructure under their terms. - Analytics Identifier: When you are not signed in, this analytics data is associated with an anonymous identifier generated by the tools and is not linked to any real-world identity. When you are signed in, the analytics identifier may be linked to your account so that we can measure feature adoption among logged-in users.
- User Account Information: When you create an account, we collect your username and email address. These are used for login, account management, and password reset emails.
- Cookies: Mixpanel and Google Analytics each set a small number of cookies in your browser to maintain the analytics identifier described above. These analytics cookies are set only after you accept on the consent banner shown on first visit; no analytics cookies are set before you accept. You can revoke consent at any time via the "Cookie preferences" link in the page footer, which records your new choice, attempts to clear analytics cookies already set, and reloads the page. We also set session cookies for authentication when you are signed in. We do not set cross-site advertising cookies.
We do not collect sensitive data such as health, financial, or biometric information. Payment information, when introduced, will be handled securely by a third-party provider and not stored by us.

- No Sale or Rental: We do not sell or rent any user data to third parties. If we introduce partner-referral features (as described on our About page) that involve sharing user data with partners, we will update this policy and notify users before any such change takes effect.
5. Data Storage & Security
- Analytics Data: Stored with Mixpanel (EU infrastructure) and Google (United States infrastructure), each in accordance with their respective terms and security standards.
- User Account Data: Stored on secure servers located in the United States.
- Access Controls: User data is accessible only by the user and authorized Choose My Plane staff. We do not collect or store data that could compromise user identity.
6. User Rights
- Account Deletion: Users with accounts can delete their accounts at any time. To request deletion of analytics activity associated with your account, contact support@choosemyplane.com.
- Regulatory Compliance: While our data collection is limited and generally anonymized, we aim to respect privacy rights under applicable laws such as GDPR and CCPA, to the extent they apply.
7. Children's Privacy
- Choose My Plane is not directed at children under 13, and we do not knowingly collect any information from children.
