About the SR20
The Cirrus SR20 is a four-to-five seat, composite monoplane that revolutionized general aviation with the inclusion of the Cirrus Airframe Parachute System (CAPS) as standard equipment. It features a side-yoke flight control system and pioneered the use of large glass cockpit displays (Cirrus Perspective by Garmin) in light aircraft.
While originally equipped with a 200 hp Continental engine, modern G6 variants feature a 215 hp Lycoming IO-390, requiring a high-performance endorsement. Its forgiving handling, advanced avionics, and safety features make it a premier choice for flight training (used by airlines like Lufthansa and United for ab-initio training) and personal touring. The cabin is noted for its automotive-style comfort and width.
