De Havilland Canada, also known as DHC, is a Canadian aircraft manufacturer that has been producing aircraft models since its inception in 1928. The company was founded as a subsidiary of de Havilland Aircraft (UK) and initially produced the popular Tiger Moth aircraft. Over the years, DHC has designed and produced numerous iconic aircraft, including the Beaver, Otter, Caribou, Buffalo, Dash 7, and Dash 8. The company’s aircraft are known for their rugged construction, STOL capabilities, and versatility, making them popular for various roles such as bush flying, commuter airliners, and military transport. After undergoing privatization and several changes in ownership, DHC is now a part of De Havilland Aircraft of Canada, which continues to produce and support the company’s legacy aircraft models.
